Improvements Being Made To MyLeadSystemPro

When I first started online I was doing a lot of marketing in safelists and traffic exchanges.  And though certainly not a long term strategy for sales, they did have their uses at the time.  And as I was working with them I saw a lot of landing pages about MyLeadSystemPro or more commonly known as MLSP.  At the time it didn’t seem to provide the value that I was looking for.  Nor the training that I felt I needed at the time.  Since I was focusing on search engine optimization and not list building I really didn’t see the point.

Eventually though I did join and have thus far been pretty impressed by the system.

Originally the system was put together in order to serve as an MLM online marketing system in order to generate leads.  And to this day its primary focus has been on the network marketing industry.  They did the right thing by focusing on a specific niche market with over 15 million possible buyers.  And its working very well for them.

With some of their members generating over $6000 dollars a month just promoting MLSP alone.  You really can’t argue with the results.

But as times change, so does the competition for a specific markets attention.

These days, online network marketers are bombarded with different training.  Premium training as a matter of fact.  From some of the greatest internet marketers out there.  Ryan Deiss, Frank Kern, Tim Castleman, and the like.  So MLSP needed to look at what was happening in the market and address it.

When David Wood and David Sharpe (David Wood is still listed as the top MLSP member) launched the Empower Network they really changed the focus of the online network marketer.  In their first year they did over $7 million dollars in sales, most of the was paid out to affiliate members.  By creating the 100% commission system, it turned the industry on its head.

After seeing their results many other people attempted to model the business and create much of the same thing.  But like Empower, they ran into payment processor issues, customer service issues, and technology troubles also plagued them.  And because the Empower guys had more capital to invest, they could overcome it.  But the new start-ups could not.

Brian Fanale and Norbert Orlewicz, the brains behind MLSP, saw what was happening and stayed out of the mix.  But they did watch the program and learned from all the troubles that they had.  And more importantly they learned from the successes as well.  And seeing that their primary base market wanted to generate leads and make money at the same time.  They have introduced a new membership level for their program.

“It’s not 100% commission, it’s 100% profits”

Let me address this right off the bat to save some of the misconceptions around 100% commissions on the internet these days.  If you have to pay for advertising or if your paying affiliate fees to be a member of a company like Empower Network or MyLeadSystemPro‘s new mastery level.  Then your not really getting all the commissions right?  What your actually doing is making a profit for being a member of a system and then promoting it.

Think about it like this.  You can be an affiliate for free and make 50% commissions on a product.  But then you have to account for your costs to advertise that program.  Thus your commissions may be 50% but your getting perhaps 30-40% return on your money as a result of the sale.  So don’t get confused about what your getting in any system.  Just realize that 80% profit generated from a paid affiliate program will provide you a greater return on your investment.

I am going to break down some of the changes that are in effect with the new membership level.  This video is a recording of the launch webinar that was held on day 1.  Let me tell you that there was a lot of blah, blah, blah within the webinar.  So much so it was actually over 2 hours longs.  So I edited it to show you the meat of the new offering.  Watch the no fluff version now.

So What Are The Key Points To MLSP Mastery

First off let me preface this by saying that if you don’t know how to drive traffic yet.  Mastery is not for you.  I know, I know, your asking yourself “why would you say that?  I was already sold on Mastery and looking forward to joining.”  And that’s cool, if you can afford it.  But you have to realize that its going to take you some time to get through all that cool training that you get for being a member.  Your going to have to know traffic generation to make all those 100% profits that they were talked about in the webinar.

In the older days of MLSP, you could get into the system and have access to all the trainings from the past on different methods to generate leads for free.  It was a really good way to be able to search around and see exactly which method actually attracted you.  I mean if your not comfortable blogging, video might be your thing.  Or if your one of those social butterfly types, then social media marketing might be what you want to do.

Now with the launch of Mastery, you won’t get access to that library unless you pay for it.

This might be a good thing for those of you who have the basics of traffic generation down.  But this really doesn’t help those that are just getting into online marketing.  Especially if you are just getting by financially and you want to build a business online part time.  So you will be limited a bit from at the beginning.

Now don’t get me wrong, you’re absolutely not going to be left hanging when it comes to implementing the system.  Inside you will find training after training on how to get started generating leads almost right away.  And all this training will take you step by step through getting your system set-up, to initial traffic generation, to what to do with those leads your generating.  But if you want the advanced stuff, your going to need a bit more cash on hand when your ready.

The Academy, Gold, and Platinum memberships will lead you in the right direction for success.  Plus being on a team like my own will help keep you focused on the prize.  Mastery will give you two things though that the others won’t.  First the 100% profit for your marketing efforts.  And two, a great commission on member signups that you get.

We all want it.  Tens of thousands, if not millions, of people watching our viral videos.  Its a marketers dream to be able to see a piece of their work turn into the viral content overnight.  Imagine how many people you could reach if your video or article spread around the web like wildfire!!

Millions of new fans.

Millions of new subscribers.

Millions of new buyers.

So we go out and we buy all kinds of great courses on video marketing.  Or we buy the latest course on how to turn a picture into a viral traffic generator.  And month after month we push out these pieces of content.  And month after month we realize one thing.

Viral traffic is a pipe dream.

Don’t get me wrong.  You can get viral traffic to your website.  Heck I try to do it everyday with every piece of content I create.  But it can’t be the focus of your business.  If you think that you will be able to create a video, image, or blog post and share it.  Then have that bring in viral traffic to you.  Your dead wrong.

More importantly your focusing on the wrong thing.  Your depending a lot on luck.  Rather than the skill that is required to properly market online.

Creating Content To Go Viral Can Help You

Striving to create viral content can help you when your developing new stuff for your readers.  You just need to make sure that you have realistic expectations.  Once your understand that not everything is going viral your going to be in the right place.

Use these three points made by Kevin when your creating your content.

  • Taste makers – famous people that already have a great following.  Don’t let this one confuse you though.  Jimmy Kimmel is not most likely going to talk about your marketing videos.  But, what if someone who was already successful in your market talked about them.  And that person had thousands of followers already.  You can easily leverage other peoples audiences to generate traffic.  Find the people who are influencers in your market.  People that you see everywhere.  People who are referenced a lot in your circles.  These are the people who could post a comment about your content.  Or share your content.  Get their attention.  Ask them their opinion.  Interact with them.
  • Communities of participation – people who follow particular topics.  Your community of participation will be in your forums and groups.  If your topic is search engine optimization for example.  You could start creating content on sites like SEMoz.com or SearchEngineLand.com.  Both of those sites have a very active community.  Leverage sites like these to get your content out there.  If your into blogging I created a list of sites that you can submit your content to as well.  You can use my daily plan and make it yours.  Just remember when your using these sites.  You have to interact with other people there.  Comment on their blogs.  Share their stuff.  Once they see you around more and more they will eventually come and check you out and do the same for you.
  • Unexpectedness – You don’t always have to go with the status quo when your making a point.  If everyone is saying the same thing it gets boring.  And it really doesn’t foster a conversation.  Everyone has an opinion and you need to get yours heard.  So it wouldn’t hurt to take the opposite side of the argument once in a while.  Trust me a lot of people won’t expect it.  And you’ll get more respect for taking a stand.  Even if people disagree.

Now when creating content you need to make sure you are doing a couple things.

First is make sure that your content is original.  There are plenty of great services out there where you can buy content for your website.  The problem is that there are a few thousand other people buying the same content.  So don’t buy PLR (private label rights) content and put it on your site.  You can use it to help you get ideas for your content sure.  But don’t put it up as your own.

Second is to make sure your researching your topic a bit before or while your writing.  I am not talking about surfing 100 different sites and writing a research paper.  You can get enough information to create your content from just a couple sources.  Just make sure you add as many facts into your content as you can.  Your opinions are great and people want to hear them.  But if you back them up with fact you will increase your credibility.

With that increased credibility your shares will increase as well.

So get out there and create some viral content.  And if you get famous make sure you remember me!!

End Of The World Is Near, Marketing Zombies To Fear

Since the first zombie movie was ever created people ahve been asking if they could ever be real.   I mean if you think about it, its not really that far fetched of an idea right.  As a matter of fact, they even have zombees flying around a state near you.

But to tell you the truth those are NOT the zombies that I am referring to.

I don’t know about you but I love TV show “The Walking Dead“.

But what I want to talk about isn’t that type of Zombie.

I want to talk about Internet Marketing Zombies.  Let’s call them “Walkers”.  They are aimlessly reacting to smells; trying to feast on whatever opportunity they see near.

Unfortunately the fait for these Walkers is always the same.  They end up getting shot, stabbed, or worse… wondering the forest until they rot to pieces.

But your not a Walker… you’re a Survivor.  And as a Survivor you have to do things a little bit differently… otherwise you run the risk of being bitten…

Which always leads to one place.

Becoming a Walker.

So let me start by asking you this…

Do you think it’s better to go after a big competitive market or a small niche market with no competition?

Here’s how Walkers would react…

They see one person that’s alive and they all begin gathering as a herd.  All trying to rip apart this one person.  Much like what happens in IM when a new trick, tactic, or loophole is exposed.  Everyone gathers around this one opportunity.  The problem is there is not enough meat on the bone for everyone.

I was once a Walker… that is until I discovered the “antidote“.

It’s the difference between wondering the forests looking for flesh to feast on, and surviving long enough to find the sanctuary of the living.

I almost got snatched up by a W.S.O.

Boy are those hard to get away from at times.  All it takes is a scratch and the virus can spread.  Removing all normal brain function causing you to wander from opportunity to opportunity to feast…Each time only getting a little meat… but never enough.

But what if there was a cure. An “antidote“.

During a Marketing Zombie Apocalypse we have two choices as a survivor.  We can spend our time scavenging house to house.  Trying to find enough food to survive.  Before they are overrun by Walkers.

We can follow the map we found that will lead us to the sanctuary of the living.

It’s not easy to get to.

There are W.S.O.s everywhere that we have to avoid.  You may have to go hungry for a few days or weeks.  But the sanctuary is filled with food.

You would think it would be too competitive.  But there is more than enough. No need to fight for scraps.

And it’s protected from Walkers.  Once you are there you can sleep in peace.  Knowing that when you wake up there will be more food than when you went to sleep.

This is how it is when you go into a BIG market.

Yes there is competition, but there is more than enough for everyone.  Both of these choices take the same amount of work.

The second choice is scary because it requires you to cross the river of the dead.  And the only way to cross this river is by having the “antidote“.

Otherwise you could become infected while crossing.

But we have a plan:

Step 1: Gather Weapons.

Step 2: Acquire Transportation.

Step 3: Locate Friends and Family.

Step 4: Use The “Antidote” and Cross The River.

On the map we have four main sanctuaries we can go after.

This is where 99.9% of all online sales are made.

* Health (Fitness, weight loss, wellness, organic, homeopathic, etc.)

* Wealth (Investing, real estate, budgeting, credit, marketing, etc.)

* Lifestyle (Travel, fashion, cars, homes, etc.)

* Relationship (Marriage, dating, divorce, romance, etc.)

Each of these sanctuaries have more than enough land for us to make a home.

The radio starts to pick up a transmission.

“Attention… any survivors that can hear this… make your way to the… crrshccrrr… to the “Health” sanctuary… we have plenty of food, supplies, and medicine… I repeat we have have plenty of food, supplies, and medicine…. crrrshcrrr”

It’s time to gather our things…

But wait.

“NOOOOOOO!”

Our friend, Frank, has been bitten.

A herd of Walkers got to him… they used a W.S.O. to lure him in…

He’s been bitten but there is still time.

We need to give him the “antidote“. It’s his only chance at long term survival.

A Walker’s bite will infect you with the “tactical” virus…Which takes over the hosts brain turning them into a Walker.

Inside your survival kit you will find two syringes labeled *strategic* antibodies.  You must inject one in yourself and one in Frank.  Once he has it in his system it will stop the transformation process from happening.  And will protect you from being bitten in the future.

Sanctuary

The “antidote” is STRATEGY… Walkers feed off of tactics.

Here’s the difference between a strategy and a tactic.  Tactics are short term, immediate, and die quickly.  Things like link wheels, exit pops, direct linking ads etc…

(99% of all IM products are tactic based)

They are used with no regard to the bigger picture.  But strategy is evergreen. It clarifies what tactics fit.

Now that you have the “antidote”.

You can reach the sanctuary of the living without being turned into a Walker.  When you understand the difference… it’s like waking up from the dead.  You can finally see clearly what pieces fit in your business and which you can ignore.  You know exactly the path to travel and what tools and vehicle you will need.

But most importantly what pieces to avoid at all costs.

And day-by-day you will travel closer to the comfort of a sanctuary.  Knowing that every morning you will wake up with more, protected. Because there is plenty to go around.  But in order to stop fighting over the scraps. You must travel to one of the BIG sanctuaries and have the *strategic* antibodies to protect you along the way.

We’ve arrived at the “Health” sanctuary.  The message we heard over the radio was right.  There is plenty of food, supplies, and medicine.  We also found our friends and family. We can now pick out a space to make a home.

It’s been a long journey… but we can finally rest knowing that we are protected from Walkers and we will have more than enough food.  As soon as you and Frank injected the “antidote” the changes were immediate.

Frank was his old self.  No longer did the W.S.O.s distract you… In fact you learned to use the right opportunities along the path to help ensure you would arrive.  We had a plan, a strategy, and it worked.

The path to surviving the Marketing apocalypse is simple.

1) Pick a BIG market that you can serve… inside a big market there are smaller niches.

These big markets can support thousands and thousands of marketers.

And best of all traffic opportunities are abundant. Traffic is much easier in bigger markets.

Your goal is to take care of your people in that section of the bigger market.

These are your Friends and Family.

2) The “antidote” is *strategy*.

Strategy clarifies which opportunities will help you serve that market better.

You see tactics focus on the trees, but never fully see the forest.

The difference between running a business with the “antidote” is profound.

One leads to respect, trust, and community.

The other leads to initial cash (hopefully)… but never enough to survive long term.

Live The Dream 3 – Rob Fore Talks A Copy Model

How to Make 440% More Sales and Profit

Rob opened up this session by stated that the reason most people fail is because they don’t have a defined purpose.  He stated that you needed a defined purpose regardless of what your doing.

He also stated that you need a defined strategy for how your going to accomplish any task regardless of the task.

He went on to state that you need to have a defined business.  Don’t be all hype and no substance.  Your going to get paid in proportion to the value that you bring to your industry.  By having that authority your going to bring value and then the money will roll in.

Here are the tips he provided to Help You Out

1) The what we promote does matter, finding the value is the key.

2) Make sure you are pursuing multiple streams of income.  Using the internet allows you promote anything.  And the best part is, it doesn’t matter what you promote.  As long as you work that basics, the how is always the same.

3) The reality is that your not going to make money by just buying trainings or other stuff.  And your not going to succeed just because you have a blog up.  The reason why is that you don’t have a plan.  You must have a goal.  You need to have a defined purpose, your critical reason why.  Your “why to” needs to be bigger than your “how to”.  If you don’t have focus your going to waste your time, money, and energy.  Know exactly and specifically what you want, why you want it, and commit yourself to task.

4) Copy those who have already succeeded.  Find someone that is producing the result that you want to produce and copy what they are doing.  That is why a franchise model works, copy a proven model.  Success leaves clues and you can literally copy your way to success.  Ask who is producing the results you want?  And, how are they doing it?

5) Study multiple models.  Find six to ten people that are doing what you want.  Look for points of commonality.  Those points of commonality could be using the same tools.  Or taking the same actions.  Then buy the specific tools and training need to copy those models, nothing else.  If you deviate from the proven model you risk it not working.

6) Have your own domain and your own blog

7) If you not building a list, you are not building a business.  Get an auto responder.

8) Have branded training to give out.  Even if you don’t write it yourself have it in your name without exception.  Multiple leaders in their industry have this and its great for list building.  People who have succeeded have created their own branded training by branding them as the authority.  Branded training helps them build multiple six figure incomes.  Offer value in your training because credibility absolutely matters.  If your brand new you will have zero credibility but it doesn’t mean that is how you have to present yourself.

9) Know your numbers.  When you know how much a lead is worth you can move to paid advertising and still make a kick ass profit.

 In conclusion, Rob is simply saying that you need to ensure that you are establishing your branding.  Do it all throughout your marketing.  Brand yourself on your blog, on your social media sites, and most importantly in your branded training.

This isn’t a new concept, but if you didn’t understand what was meant by branding perhaps Rob helped clear it up a bit in his main points.

Top 10 Tips for Marketing On Pinterest

 There Is A Right Way And Wrong Way To Market On Pinterest

We are marketers on the internet have a way of finding new and exciting ways to market on sites such as Pinterest in order to help out our bottom lines.  Unfortunately we also have a crowd that promotes methods that tend to make us all look bad.  Because the methods they teach are borderline spam.

Because of this its sometimes necessary for people like you and I to step in and police our teams.  To make sure that we are getting the most out of social networks without coming across like a bunch of hard up newbies looking to make some quick cash.

Its also our responsibility to train people who sign up with us to use these sites correctly.  There is nothing worse than having a  bunch of affiliates that are running around spamming social sites like Pinterest and Facebook with your landing pages.

Just ask the people over at the Empower Network.  People there didn’t bother to use the training they purchased and dropped links all over Facebook.  After enough complaints were lodged against the business, Facebook completely banned any Empower links being posts by anyone.

Now obviously that is an extreme case, and I surely don’t agree with Facebook’s decision.  But Pinterest is also a target for people like that who are looking to cash in on Pinterest’s popularity in recent months.  This has caused Pinterest to change its policies, and more importantly, marketers are not very well received on the site anymore by its users.

Should Marketers Shy Away From Promoting On Pinterest

I say absolutely not!!

Look, if you are smart about (and I know your a genius cause your reading my blog!), you will be able to get a lot of traffic from Pinterest.  And more importantly, you will be able to create a great brand even if its the only site you market on.

The ladies of Pinterest, and the men who use Pinterest, are very receptive when it comes to cool images.

But there rules when you want to create an effective marketing campaign without looking like a jerk marketer.  If you get these ten things right you will be on your way to a very enjoyable experince on the site.  And if you get real good at it, you can create a service where you manage accounts for clients.  Imagine that getting paid to surf the net for other people, is that not awesome or what!

Google Panda Didn’t Completely Kill Article Marketing But It’s On Life Support.

Article marketing is a tried and tested method of generating links and ultimately its great to generate leads.  In order to employ this tactic all you need to do is find a topic, write an article about it that includes a link or two, and publish it on several article directories. Or, more accurately, you pay someone else to do all that for you and just provide the link destination and anchor text.

And up until recently article marketing worked and it worked very well. Because it got results for relatively little cost there were many proponents of the strategy.

The problem is, article marketing has lost much of its potency due to the Panda update.  When Google’s change began targeting low quality content sites, in one stroke wiped most article directories from the SERPs and has robbed them of nearly all of the link juice they used to pass on.

This was not unexpected, or unfair to article marketers. Because the vast majority of content published on article directories was indeed low quality.  This low quality content had no other purpose than to generate long tail traffic for the directories and links for the content writers. It certainly didn’t aim to fulfil user’s informational needs in all cases, and so its disappearance from SERPs was actually praised by many.

What it means now is that marketers that have been using article marketing as part of their linkbuilding activities will need to find a new channel to generate easy and keyword-rich links.

So what does this all mean?  Well its simple really, it means that you need to change how you submit your articles to the directories.  And more importantly which ones you choose to submit them to.  You need a plan that optimizes the content that you have created in such a way that allows it to be repurposed in a small number of high quality sites rather than thousand of low quality ones.

The Whole World of SEO Is Asking the Same Question: Massive or Individual Article Marketing?

article marketingTo make a wise decision about article marketing I would like to point out the advantages and disadvantages of massive article marketing submissions vs individual publications.

(1) Massive Content Blasts

Advantages: The biggest advantage is that you invest less time and get more backlinks.

For example, you can write one article and blast it to 50 directories . So, you submitted an article and got 50 publications with your backlinks inside. This is a lot of backlinks.

And a lot of backlinks means that you can get better ranks for your keywords within quite a short period of time.

I can tell you that the vast majority of SEO providers, companies and services are selling massive submissions. You can easily impress a client with a big number of backlinks, a frugal price and a good boost in ranks.

Disadvantages: Google knows that content blasts have become its weak point, and Google Panda update is just the beginning.

Google understands that content blasts are its weak point. Because when the links that are inside the content that are published on sites with different IPs, site owners, different age and history of the site – this looks pretty natural to Google.  This resulted in its reputation measuring algorithm being manipulated.

Google Panda update started to focus on this but clipping the results of your massive blasts. For example, you blasted an article to 50 blogs and on the initial stage you get very nice results. But over time Google will chop down all these 50 articles into a smaller number. Which means that the number of backlinks you have in the end gets smaller as well. And you can lose position in the search engines.

Google isn’t super good at clipping the results of massive submissions at the moment. But their approach to taking care of this issue is smart and correct. Now that they saw great results from Google Panda update about massive submissions, they will focus even more efforts on this approach. It will take time, but strategically the effect from massive submissions will decline more and more.

Advantages: maximum SEO safety, long-term article marketing results and direct traffic.

You can use this approach even for the sites that are just 1 day old, without getting into the SEO spam scan from Google. This is the safest approach one can use right now.

The SEO quality of this type of backlinks is tremendous, because you are choosing the sites with reputation, age and trust. 2-3 backlinks from the site of this level will be of a much higher value, compared to hundreds of backlinks from the sites that have nearly no reputation in the eyes of Google.

Finally, you get direct traffic from your articles, not just the backlinks. Because your they are posted on quality sites they are bringing in more traffic then they would if they were posted on lower quality directories. If you write interesting content, you will get direct visitors from these sites to your site. Because these sites have traffic and your article on this site will get traffic as well.

Disadvantages: more work (yeah I know you hate work lol), takes longer to see the results.

Obviously it takes time and effort to submit one great article to one great site, then another great article to another site, etc. That is why you will not get hundreds and/or thousands of backlinks overnight.

And, on the first stage, the results of rank improvement aren’t that impressive. It can take up to  several weeks of hard work with creation and publication of articles on trusted sites before you can see the ranking improvement.

What Article Marketing Choice is Better?

I believe, and many other SEO specialists will agree,  that massive submissions are on a sliding trend in SEO.

They still currently work but not as good as they used to, but they still give results.  Sometimes – very impressive results.

SEO providers still love using them because they give quick results and the price is expensive. And it means that whenever you come to a SEO company that has a big portfolio of different strategies, they will do their best to convince you that massive submissions are cool.

There area a lot of service providers in the SEO market who are not ready yet to get away from article marketing massive submissions because other strategies need more resources.  That is why you will not often hear about other strategies that need more time and effort, because SEO companies do not want to lose potential clients in this economy.

However…

Despite all the above mentioned, the market is changing right now.

If we take into account the famous Google Panda update with their clipping of backlinks from massive submissions, and that Google will not stop on this – then the strategy of individual publications becomes a realistic way out for SEO providers and people who want to push their sites high in ranks.

Should We Quit Massive Submissions?

In the short-term scope, no. Massive content submissions are still working.   But it is absolutely critical that you get used to the new type of SEO.  SEO where quality matters more than numbers.  When you are looking not only on the PageRank of the site, but also on the traffic and visitors that this site is getting.  SEO that is actually very close to media marketing.

As with every new trend, it will take some time to get used to this new model.  But after you get used to it, after you see the results, after you understand how safe and natural it is – you will agree that this approach is the best you can use for your sites and for the sites of your team.

Think about the future of your SEO today.  Before the market has changed so critically that your article marketing falls out from it.

I recently started getting heavily involved in Facebook, and more specifically using it to market my business online and frankly to make money. I understood before I went in that Facebook being a social network is not conducive to spam, link building or all of that other search engine marketing that I am more familiar with.  But I also understood that any website with over 700+ million users cannot be ignored and should be taken advantage of in every way possible.

With that goal in mind I purchased or obtains several courses on how to use Facebook in a way that was both repeatable and effective.  I didn’t want to become one of those so called marketers who are repeated posting their affiliate link in the various groups around the site.  I wanted my face and more importantly my brand to become a source of leadership and knowledge from people just starting out as well as experienced marketers.

Now, before i get too deep into what I am doing on Facebook I need to give you a little disclaimer.  I am not a billionaire, millionaire, or even a thousandaire (if such a label exists).  Sure I make money online, but like most people doing online marketing or network marketing I found myself spending more that I was bringing in to my business.  While this all turned into a very good tax break, I would rather have to worry about paying more taxes on my income then how much I was going to get back cause I was “investing” in my business.  So, I learned and now I apply, and that is what you need to do.

Sure learning from me is great, and learning from the so called ‘guru’s’ is great, but if your not taking action then your just wasting your time.  Hopefully you found my post way before you spent too much money, but if your like me and went on for a year or two ‘learning’ and not applying then its time to get off the fence, take a risk, and just do it.

Now with that out of the way lets get into Facebook.

First is your profile, remember that your profile is for you not your business.  This is by Facebook TOS and its only meant for a person,  This is where you communicate with your friends and family.  This isn’t to say that you can’t communicate your business stuff, but just remember your family and close friends might not appreciate it in the same way your business friends will.

A Facebook page however is used to market your business, build relationships with clients, build relationships with prospective clients, and tell people what your business is about.  You can mess the profile and the page together, but remember the golden rule, profile personal stuff, page business stuff.

Now, there is no possible way I can describe how to create a Facebook page via a written blog post, so I will be creating a video in due time on how to get one set up.  But one thing I want to encourage you to do is to learn how to create a welcome tab so that you can get some people to ‘like’ your Fanpage, as more people like it, more people are exposed to it.

Also, if you are a part of a team that is managing a page that has multiple admins create a tab that introduces each of your team members.  A lot of people will look at that tab when they come to your page.

Another thing you need to use is the upcoming events tabs, it works great to promote your webinars, hotel meetings, or seminars etc. etc.

And finally, lets say that you are one of those people who like to give out free training in order to gain leads, i.e. MyLeadSystemPro weekly webinars, create a Free trainings tab and take advantage of all that this tab has to offer, oh one more point, don’t forget your optin form.

One cool strategy a Facebook page now allows you to do it to post on different walls and pages as your page versus your profile.  This will get your page name out there.  If your using Facebook as your page your news feed, friend requests, messages and a bunch of other stuff comes up as it relates solely to your page.  A pretty cool feature you need to check out.

And one last thing I want to point out is the feature likes on your page, if you look to the left of your page profile you will see a list of pages your page liked (confused yet lol), anyway click on the more button and you will be given the option to create featured likes and tell Facebook which pages you want to show to your visitors.  This comes in handy if you have a page for your different products, you can use this feature to highlight each of those pages.

If you are diligent about creating relevant up to date content to your page you will naturally be able to  create a large amount of followers to your page.  You have to keep this in mind when your creating content, because if your fans are not engaging with your page, i.e. commenting on your page, then you need to fix that issue.

Remember, anything posted on Facebook is considered and object and to get on peoples walls you need to consider three things.

1.  How often the user is checking you out.  Are they coming to your page everyday and interacting with your page.

2.  Type of interaction.  This is important as well, are your visitors just coming to your page and clicking like or are they commenting on your posts.  Think about your news feed, have you ever noticed that people that you interact with, and leave comments with are always on your new feed, this is by design

3.  If you content is recent and has a lot of activity.  Just like your blog, don’t expect to post something just once a week and think that your post will pop up on somebodies wall, you need to be consistent with Facebook as with any other form of marketing.

Finnally, I want you to definitely make sure that you pay attention to your demographics. Because when you understand the audience on your Facebook page — who they are, if they’re male or female, their age, where they’re coming from — and if you really understand your demographics, you can craft your messages to be laser focused to that audience so that you can engage with that audience more by piquing their interest with the types of posts that you are putting on your page. Understanding your audience is key.

I know this information has left you with more questions then answers, and ultimately it was designed to, I want you to think outside the norm, step out of your comfort zone an really start thinking for yourself rather than waiting for a guru to lead you down a path.  Sure you need leadership, everyone does, and I will provide that to you as I go along here to truly help you become a force for you business, but you need to rid yourself of the thinking that everything will be done for you.  This is your business, own it, love it, nurture it, then Facebook about it and make money.
