Why Do I Need To Know How To Embed A Video Into WordPress
Over the course of trying to learn lead generation online I have found that it can be quite a pain to figure out how to embed a video into WordPress. but I was able to figure out how to manually enter the embed code from YouTube or Vimeo into WordPress without too many issues.
I didn’t figure this out overnight nor do they figure out on my own, I had someone teach me, and I want to pay it forward and teach you.
For the life of me I do understand why its so complicated to embed a video into WordPress, you would think that the easiest content management system that there is wouldn’t have this issue. But it seems that at times when you’re trying to add the embed code into your post, and use the save draft option, your video is deleted.
I tried several plug-ins to work around this particular issue, but found that in combination with the other plug-ins that I use my site slow down significantly. As a result I needed to find a manual solution to embed a video into WordPress that was not overly complicated. Hopefully, the solution that I found will be of some help to you in and this needless struggle of fighting to embed a video into WordPress.

That you’ll notice that it really isn’t all that complicated to get this done. I also noticed that after I published the page I can edit it without having to worry about the video embed code disappearing. Your theme that you’re using on your site, in combination with the layout, will have a play in the size of the video that you can post. So remember that once published you can edit it without too many issues if you see that after you embed a video into WordPress posts it appears to large or small.

Hi Clint,
thank you so much for showing how to embedd a video without the plugin.
I didn’t know that you could do it like that and I have used the viper video plugin which seems to be one a lot of bloggers use.
Good to see it all in action.
Cheers
Yorinda
Hi,
I thank you so much Clint for this info, I was always terrorized to go in HTML code it always seems chinese to me;) Now I know what to do, to insert a video. If you upload any easy video on how to use SEO plug ins from WP, I have one called all in one SEO pack and Platinum SEO.
Let me know if you have some how to video on these 2plug ins!
Thanks again,
Patricia
I actually can do one on All-In-One SEO, will get that knocked out today.
Another really useful tip for us bloggers – I haven’t had any major problems, but I know what you mean that it can be a bit finnicky about displaying the video sometimes and saw this tip recommended.
Thanks for sharing,
Nicky
Hey Clint,
I didn’t even know there was a plugin, LOL much less that they might be temperamental. I have had issues with my videos disappearing, though – I had not thought to leave that step until last. Thank you very much!
