10 Easy Ways To Promote Your Facebook Page

Why Do I Have to Promote My Facebook Page?

When you conducting business with a Facebook page you have to keep several things in mind.  Website traffic, conversations, list building, and an assortment of other things all are as much a part of your Facebook page as they are a part of your website.

I have spent a considerable amount of time learning from people like Michelle Alpha or David Wood on several different aspects of marketing.  But several of them were, well frankly, boring and tedious.  I have no desire to write, spin, post an article to hundreds of directories.  I bet you don’t want to either, your like me, you want an easy and fast method to promote your business and Facebook pages allow us to do that.

As I was stating in the opening paragraph, you have to promote your Facebook page if you expect it to convert for you. But don’t be put off by the work involved, all in all the ends will justify the means.

Here are 10 Methods To Promote Your Facebook Page.

  1. Promote your page with a widget:  Integrate Facebook with your site use the “Like” widget.  That way people who visit your blog will know the that you have a fan page.  This is an excellent opportunity to convert your blog readers into Facebook fans
  2. Put up a featured discussion in your LinkedIn group:  Of course this assumes that you have a group, if not go join one.  This provides you with an opportunity to demonstrate your expertise, which will in turn drive traffic to your Facebook page.
  3. Link you Facebook page on your LinkedIn profile: The best place to put this link is in the description of you current position.  When you describe your position and company, put a hyperlink to your fan page at the bottom.
  4. Add your Facebook page to all of your printed marketing
  5. Add your Facebook page to all of your social media profiles
  6. Create a video blog: Video blogs are becoming one of the hottest ways to connect with clients and prospects.  YouTube and the other video sharing sites allow you to put your Facebook page link into the description of your video.  Once you video starts to generate interest, this link will provide you a pretty descent stream of traffic.
  7. Link to your Facebook page in your profile, and ask your friends to like your page
  8. Email your list about your page:  Every time you send an email have your Facebook page link in the signature.
  9. Create a custom Welcome Tab for Your Facebook page: Now that the Static FBML app no longer exists so installing a custom Facebook page is more tricky now thank it was in the past, but it is still very worthwhile.  By installing a welcome tab with a large arrow and a call to action you can convert many more visitors to your page into fans.  To really step up your results you can install a “fan gate” which allows you to automatically offer free content, like a video or an eBook, to users as soon as they become a fan.
  10. Finally, whenever you write something in your blog, link to your fan page.  And don’t be afraid to ask people to join your page its easy watch.

Hey Clint- This is great stuff. Your posts are always top notch. I wish I knew your secret. How many of you are there? You seem to be all over the place whereever I look!

I think this request aligns with this article, but if it is out of line, let me know: Do you have a list of recommended FB groups/tribes to join and post articles? If not, that would be a great idea for your next blog post:)

Keep up the good work!

Excellent tips on way to promote your FB page. Sometimes it seems that people think that just because they have a page, other people will find it, and that just is not true. It really is more like you have to promote your promotions for people to see them. And seriously, just the one tip you gave about emailing your list about your page is worth a lot.

My FB page is in every email I send out, and I get new people liking it even after sending it out in the emails more than 50 times. :-)
